This week, we are learning about English speaking countries around the Globe. For your main project, you will work as three tourist guides at a travel agency. ​While working with this project, you will practise all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). You will also expand both your cultural knowledge and your vocabulary during this week.​ ​ Enjoy!​ ​

Why? To practice our speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English, as well as learning about English as a world language, and where it is spoken around the world.

 

How? By reading about English as a world language, researching English speaking countries around the world, and learning vocabulary around traveling through Quizlet. You will also practise reading and listening strategies and do some practice exercises. Lastly, you will work on a project where you will create a tourist experience for a chosen English-speaking country, and present it to your peers.

 

How will we be assessed? Reading skills will be assessed through a reading test on Friday. Speaking skills will be assessed through classroom talk and presentations.
