Money is important in the world and to understand the world it's important to know about it. We will listen and read about other people´s lives and compare to ours. You will find out more about life in another country and compare to yours.

Du väljer en familj ur Dollar street-verktyget, och sammanställer i ett Worddokument som du ska lämna in fredag vecka 38. Vi kommer också att berätta för någon annan i klassen om våra valda familjer och jämföra deras levnadssätt.

 

·     Go to “www.gapminder.org/dollar-street/matrix. You will be able to look at pictures of families and their houses from around the world. You can filter on income and country.  
Choose one family. Read about them and look at the pictures. Start by converting their income to Swedish crowns to understand how much money the family makes. There are apps and websites to convert different currencies, but you can also use a search engine. To find out about their culture you must search the internet.                     

                                                                                                       

·    Present the family. Include the following: 

·    The name of the family 

·    The country 

·    The income, both in dollars and converted to Swedish crowns 

·    The photo of the family 

·    Describe their house, their furniture, their food and other things, such as toys 

·    Describe something interesting about their culture. 

  

·     Present your family and the place they live in and compare to your own life and experience.
