Holes- reading project Year 8

"Stanley Yelnats is under a curse. A curse that began with his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather and has since followed generations of Yelnatses. Now Stanley has been unjustly sent to a boys’ detention center, Camp Green Lake, where the boys build character by spending all day, every day digging holes exactly five feet wide and five feet deep. There is no lake at Camp Green Lake.
But there are an awful lot of holes."

In this project, we are going to read and reflect on the book Holes by Louis Sachar.

In this assignment you will develop your reading skills, writing skills and speaking skills.

Arbetsformer

We will read the novel Holes by Louis Sachar and we will also listen to the segments and watch the film.

You will read a few sections at home.

We will practise discussing the content in groups.

Bedömning

You will be assessed orally during the work process and you will hand in a book review.
