It shall include the following:



News reports of different kind (domestic, foreign, local, sports etc.) – minimum 3 features

and

Weather report - How is the weather presented? What phrases are used? How do they start and end the presentation?

You can search the Internet for news on different English speaking newspapers to get an idea of how different newspapers choose to present their news. It can help you decide how you want to do your news broadcast!

Suggestions for news features:

• An interview with a famous person, politician, scientists or alike.
• A sports event.
• New discoverys in science.
• Dramatic events: robberies, accidents, kidnappings, war, politics etc.
• Positive features: for example a feature about a society, school or alike.

Suggestions for people:

Newsreader, weathergirl/weatherman, reporter on the scene, people being interviewed.

Think about what kind of channel you represent:

What kind of news channel are you? A local channel, a channel for students at your school, a channel for the whole country?

A channel in England or a news channel for only children and youths etc.

Remember:

Do not forget to consider the layout, meaning how you choose to perform the television broadcast! Everybody in the group must of course be active and take part in the preparations and the performance. Make up a suitable name for you television broadcast.

• You are going to show your broadcast in week 14. This means you have 4 lessons, including this one to prepare and you will get a few minutes to prepare on the 3/5 when it is time to perform.

• Your television broadcast will be about 5 minutes.
