New at SCHOOL

Learning, growing and change are all words that school teaches us, we experience them every day in our classrooms. We do this from a Swedish way, but there are many other ways as well and two of them are very famous; the schools in the UK and the US. Since they are important let us learn more about them and see what similarities and differences we can find.

New at SCHOOL

Summer is over and it is time to start school again but before we start diving in to all the different things that we are going to do let us introduce school from different eyes.  We are here going to revise important words about school, subjects, schedules and more, but at the same time we are going to compare our Swedish school with schools in the UK and the US.

Purpose:

We are going to revise the Swedish school and its system,  to continue we are going to learn about the schools in the UK and the US. Finally, we are going to practice and learn how to compare these systems to each other.

 

Method:

For us to do all the above we have to work in ways that are interesting, ways that make us want to learn more but also ways that will help us understand and learn.

Materials:

We are going to use different sheets with exercises and words, together with this we are going to read different texts about school and to check that we have understood everything we are going to use our written language to express views, facts but also the art of asking questions. 

 

Check-up:

To make sure that we have learned what we are supposed to we are going to write a letter to a new pen-pal.
