Prata om innehållet tillsammans.

Läs text tillsammans i boken sid 78-79. Läs högt ( frivilliga läser) och  översätt muntligt i par.

 Gör övning 5 sid 78 och övning 8 sid 80. 

Gå igenom tillsammans.

Läxa till tors v. 9. Glosorna till kapitlet.  Kunna översätta och läsa texten muntligt.

Att prata kort i par på engelska om vad texten o filmen ni såg sist handlade om.

Gör övning 3 sid 77. , de ord ni inte kan ska de slå upp och skriva ner. Gå igenom i slutet av lektionen.

Lektion 3

v. 9 Förhör glosorna som var läxa.  Jag säger dem på svenska och ni  skriver dem på engelska. Rätta varandras i par och tillsammans hitta på bra meningar till 8 ord. Meningarna ska ha med miljön att göra. Lämna in till mig.

Nu ska ni förbereda läxan till nästa vecka torsdag.  Ni ska kunna återberätta och förklara begreppen ni skrev ner förra lektionen.  Ni ska kunna skriva ner det som en liten uppsats. Detta görs på lektionen.

Prata om vad du kan göra för att hjälpa till att ”rädda världen”/göra världen bättre. Först två och två sen i helklass.  Vad gör du/din familj idag?

Läs texten sid 80. Prata om innehållet. Vilka åtgärder ger mest effekt tror du?

Prata om vad det är för värld han beskriver.  skriv ner lite komihåg när ni  lyssnar.

Where can you find rainforrests today?Along the equator in Africa, Asia,South America, Central America and many of the Pacific Islands.

How much rain falls every year in the rainforrest? Between 1750 and 2000 mm (halland about 600 mm per year. Most rain falls in Hawaii and in a part of northeastern India,where they get about  11000-12000 mm per year.

What is the temperature? Between 22-32 Degrees Celcius

How are the rainforrests good for the planet? Cool down the earth. They keep the temperature of the planet at a proper level. Without rainforrests there are not enough trees to absorb the carbon dioxide and the temperature rises.

How much rainforrest were cut down between 2000-2005?  27 million hectares

… Intressant fakta! 

Although rainforests cover less than 6 percent of Earth’s surface, they contain approximately 50 percent of the world’s plant and animal species. At the current rate of deforestation, it is estimated that roughly 135 different species of plants, animals and insects go extinct each day. This equates to a total loss of approximately 50,000 species every year. If the current trends in deforestation continue, many experts believe that the rainforests will vanish in less than 40 years.

Therefore rainforest protection and restoration are critical to slowing climate change. By one estimate, published in 2015 in the scientific journal Nature, rainforests could meet half the 2050 target for reducing carbon emissions.

A study in 2015- 5 billion trees are cut down every year . billion betyder miljard!

How can the rain forests be saved?

As disappointing as it is, in regards to recycling, the United States does not make the cut. At just a 34 percent success rate, the U.S. sends only 1/3 of its waste into the recycling pool—which is well below many other countries worldwide.  

That stat got us thinking: What are the top recycling countries in the world? And, what traits do those successful recycling locations possess?

Austria sits with the highest recycling rate out of any country in the world: 63 percent of all waste is diverted from landfills. As recycling programs have evolved, Austria’s overall performance in terms of municipal solid waste recycling has been stable and at a very high level for the past decade, according to the European Environment Agency (EEA). 2017
