True Diary - Written assignment 1

During some weeks we will read the book The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian, written by Sherman Alexie.

While reading, you will work a bit with reading logs, conduct book circles and will be given written assignments,

This written assignment will take place when you have read little over half the book. You will write this as a letter to the editor (insändare) and this is what I want you to write about:

Letter to the editor – How to write

 

Imagine that you are Junior or Rowdy. You are very upset about your life on the rez. You write a Letter to the Editor, which will be published in the Toronto Star. You protest about the way you are being treated on the rez. Choose two things that you dislike and suggest improvement.

- Maximum 500 words.

Summarise with a conclusion and give advice on how to fix the problems you write about.
