My English-speaking country

You have been assigned to promote your country at the international tourist convention for English-speaking countries in Johannesburg 2018.  Write an essay (300 – 500 words) about what makes your country a good destination for tourism. Some point to include in your text could be:

 

·         A brief summary of the history of the country

 

·         The name of the capital city and other major cities

 

·         Basic facts (currency, population, type of government – monarchy/republic, other languages than English etc)

 

·         Famous and/or historical sights (e.g. a building, a beach, a battlefield etc)

 

·         Fun activities to do

 

·         Celebrities (any famous people from your country?)

 

·         Specific words used in your country, and what they mean in British or American English
