Film Log - Ender's Game

The Earth was nearly destroyed by an alien race known as the Formics. Fifty years later, the people of Earth have banded together to prevent their destruction from these superior aliens. Ender Wiggin, a quiet and brilliant boy, may become the savior of the human race. He is separated from his family and brought to battle school in orbit around Earth. He will be tested and trained to become a killer in hopes of saving Earth and his family.

During this unit, we will:

• watch the film Ender's Game in four sections
• answer comprehension questions for each of the 4 parts of the film
• review literary elements that are common to any story, such as characters, plot, setting, theme, etc. 
• discuss themes central to both the book and film versions of this story
• become familiar with Google Classrooms and how to submit assignments using this digital learning platform
