I have a dream about beautiful speeches 2.0

During the coming weeks, you will be doing two different things. Firstly, you will be preparing and deliver a speech with an argumentative tone about a specific topic, more on that later. The speech only has to last for between 2-4 minutes. Secondly, you will be writing an argumentative text about the same topic. The text has to be between 250-600 words.
One of the most famous speeches in the world is Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream”. I would be genuine flabbergasted if not everyone in this room knows about it. This is one of the most impactful and best delivered speeches!
During several occasions in life, you will have to deliver a speech. It could be at a funeral, wedding, graduation or something similar. Often, it can be quite nerve racking to go up and just talk in front of people. Therefore, I thought it would be good with some practice.

We will also work with how to write and include formal English. From now on, all that you do, and all that you say should be in formal English. I will soon have a lecture about this. This is also something that can be a bit difficult to use and especially to master; therefore, please feel free to ask for help or feedback.
Now for the specific topics that you will be arguing for. Each person will receive an unique and specific topic. These will not be your normal discussion topics. Instead, you will be delivering speeches about ear-wax, Uranus, lawnmowing and nose-hair. You will randomly be given your topic.
