SO BLIC 1 2020-21

The focus for social studies during year one is the social enironment we live in. You will learn about different roles and processes that make a society work, for example to do with traffic and safety. You will learn about different celebrations. You will learn about the UN and The Rights of the Child.

How we will learn?

Through talking, reading and watching informative film clips. 

We will record our findings/thoughts through writing and presenting our ideas. 

Assessment

You should be able to talk about some important aspects of society and how it functions. 

You should be able to explain what kind of organisation the UN is and know about the Rights of the Child.      

You should be able to talk about celebrations and traditions in society.

• Eleven har grundläggande kunskaper om några mänskliga rättigheter och barnets rättigheter, och visar det genom att ge exempel på vad de kan innebära i skolan och hemma.
• Eleven kan samtala om normer och regler i vardagen och ge exempel på varför de kan behövas.
• Eleven kan samtala om elevnära livsfrågor.
• Eleven kan ge exempel på någon högtid, symbol och central berättelse från kristendomen, islam och judendomen.
