Vi ska jobba med de mindre sporterna.
Sports
We are going to work with a project in English during W 5-7 and we start the presentation Tuesday 11th (class 7a), Friday the 14th (class 7b) of February and this is an individual work.
Your assignment is to:
1. Choose a sport to present orally in front of small groups (3-6). But we are also going to have regular classes therefore you might need to work at home too.
2. You are going to choose a sport that you don’t know so much about or a sport that want to find out more about.
3. You are going to find out the following things:
· Why you have chosen this sport?
· How and where you practise the sport (rules, arenas, equipment you need etc.)
· Famous teams and players (choose one to talk about) practicing the sport and some facts about them.
· The history of the sport and how it has developed until now.
· The sport in Sweden compared to the rest of the world.
· Your own suggestions.
· Pictures and/or film clips are nice to use here J. A PP presentation or anything else but double check that with me.

13. Air sports-(Banzai skydiving, Bungee jumping, Hot air ballooning)
14. Athletics(Truck and field)
15. Different alternative sports records
16. Dance
17. Roller Derby
18. Paintball
Before the presentation
1. Practice a lot for a friend or someone in your family and take every good advice
you get.
2. Use your own words and practise your pronunciation. Practise extra with the
difficult words. Don’t read from your presentation!!!
3. Write keywords or the text on small cards for your presentation or put the keywords in your PP.
The presentation
The oral/verbal/speech or you presentation should include the following:
1. A beginning: “I have chosen to talk about….because….”
2. Show the vocabulary that you learned by putting a wordlist.(15-30 words)
2. The different items presented in the assignments above.
3. An ending where you conclude/finish what you have talked about. Your presentation could also end with some questions or a quiz to the audience what you have talked about.
4. Have good eye contact with your audience. Ask them something about your topic to see if they are listen to you!!!
Tala: Oral/Verbal presentation
Lyssna: You listen to what your classmates and maybe they can ask you some stuff so you should listen.
Läsa: You read a lot of literature and that’s good!!!
Skriva: It’s easier to start in a word document and then later you can copy keywords from you document to you Power Point. But don’t forget to hand in/give me your document when you are done with the presentation
