In this section we will learn about environmental issues. We will study global warming, threats to the environment, why recycling is important and what we can do to impact our environmental foot print. You are going to discuss, write and read about enviroment and issues related to it.

Goal:

• Use and understand words connected with the environment

• Talk about the environment using words from the texts

• Discuss what you can do to help

• Understand the grammar you studied. Use it to speak and write.

How we will work:

• You will read and listen to texts in section 3

• You will work with exercises in the workbook

• You will discuss together in class

• You will watch a Ted-talk 

• You will write an essay

• You will correct and improve your essay based on the feedback you get from your classmate. 

Assessment:

You will be assessed on:

• You will write two texts: A short story (All summer in a day) and a text where you give suggestions about enviroment

• Group discussion about the Environment using the mind maps below
