You'll learn more about some of the English Speaking Countries.
Area of Work
You will learn about five of the English speaking countries in the world - New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the UK and the US. The work will be devided into three parts called Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3.
Step 1 - this is the minimum. Everyone must finish step 1. This step is mostly facts about the country and word work. There are one text for each country that you need to read and learn from.
Step 2 - when you've finished step 1, you go on with step 2. Here you choose from a list of different topics. You read a bit more in-depth to understand how things work in each country.
Step 3 - the last step. You read more about the topic you chose in step 2 and try to find consequences and how things affect the people/country/world.
You will have 2-3 lessons for each country and before we go on to a new country there will be a short task where you summarize and discuss what you've learnt either on your own or in pairs/small groups.
Assessment
You will be assessed during lessons and on a final writing assignment. During lessons you will get some short speaking tasks where you talk in pairs or small groups.
The final assessment is a writing test where you write an argumentative/discursive essay (argumenterande/resonerande text). This will be written in Dugga and you may bring notes. The topic of the essay will be "What country is the best to live in?", compared to Sweden.
