7.3.9 Festival Project

In pairs, design an advertising poster for a festival. You can choose one of the festivals mentioned in this section or another one from anywhere in the world, or even make one up!

Remember to include:

Pictures (they are worth a thousand words)

When it happens and where

The most interesting and fabulous things to see

How to get there

Cost – if any

A slogan to catch the eye

Take notes and then write a short history together of the festival you have chosen.

Things to include:

How old is it?

Where did it start?

What was the reason behind it?

What kind of people attend today – young, old, all ages?

Present your poster and the short history of the festival to the rest of the class. Prepare to answer questions.
