Charlie and the chocolate factory

We will both listen to parts of the book and watch the film Charlie and the Chocolate factory

Lektion 1: Lyssna på kapitel 1 i boken, som finns på Inläsningstjänst. Fundera sedan över huvudkaraktären Charlies situation. Spela in ett kort samtal där du berättar om hur han bor (hus, i stan, på landet), eventuella husdjur, hans familj, vad de äter, vänner, vad han tycker om och inte tycker om. Försök beskriva så mycket du kan. 

 

Lektion 2: Se första 20 minuterna på filmen och svara på frågorna nedan i en inspelning. Berätta så detaljerat som möjligt. 

Answer the following questions as good as you can. 

1)     How does the film start? What do we get to see and know during the “pre-text”?

2)    Why is everyone buying chocolate bars? Explain.

3)   What is special about the Wonka chocolate factory? Why would it be special to go in there?

 

Lektion 3: Lyssna på kapitel 8 från boken ”Two more golden tickets found” och titta på samma del i filmen. Jämför text och film, vad är lika och vad är olika? 

 

Lektion 4: Se film (20-50 min)

Write about the following questions in English.

1)     Describe how Charlie gets his golden ticket.

2)    Who are the Oompa loompians? Describe them.

3)    What happens to Augustus Gloop in the chocolate room? Describe.

 

Lektion 5: Muntlig bilduppgift baserat på en bild. Jag skickar bilden till dig på Teams. Berätta vad som händer på de olika bilderna och i vilken ordning de kommer samt varför. 

 

Lektion 6: Eleverna tittar på filmen (50-80 min)

Write about the following questions.

     1) Choose a scene that shows the following adjective. Remember to describe why.

                      A. Strange, B. Beauty, C. Curiosity

     2) Describe Mr Willy Wonka. What do you get to know about him in the film? What does 

     he like and what doesn’t he like? What do you know about his childhood?

 

Lektion 7: Titta på filmen (80-110 min)

Talk about the characters. Choose 2 words that describe each character in the story. Give examples from the film to support your thoughts.

Lektion 10 och 11: Avslutande examinerande uppgift. "The Wonka Factory experience". You are going to record a story as if you were one of the children in the film. Follow the instructions below. 

1) Chose one of the 5 children from the film.

2) Make a mind map, if it helps, where you structure your answers to the following questions. Remember to think from you characters perspective.

a) Describe how you got the ticket and how you felt about this.

b) Describe what you see, feel and experience when you enter the chocolate factory. What do you think about the other children? What do you think about Mr Willy Wonka?

c) Describe what happens to you inside the factory.

d) What happens to you after you leave the factory? Will you ever be normal again? Describe!
