Junior a budding cartoonist who is already beaten up regularly for being a skinny kid with glasses, decides to go to the rich all-white high school miles away. He'll be a target there as well, but maybe he will also get a chance to prove everyone wrong.
In this assignment, you will develop your reading, writing and speaking skills.
We will read or listen to the book in class and at home.
You will answer questions on the book while you read and you will discuss different themes of the book in class.
You will do a small research on The Native Americans in the US.
You will watch clips about Native Americans today and discuss what you learned.
You will be assessed on your oral participation in class and your writing and reading abilities will be assessed by a written assignment when you have finished reading the book.
The written assignment will be on the 31 of March.
