What is your favourite food? What do you know about popular dishes in the UK and in the USA? Those are questions we are going to discuss in our next course. This time we will focus on speaking and learn useful phrases for eating out or at the dinner table. Traditional food in the English speaking world is another ingredient and you will in the end, have the opportunity to write an essay about it.
Purpose:
You will get the opportunities to develop your ability to:
understand and interpret the content of spoken English and in different types of texts, express yourself and communicate in speech and writing,
use language strategies to understand and make yourselves understood,
adapt language for different purposes, recipients and contexts and
reflect over living conditions, social and cultural phenomena in different contexts and parts of the world where English is used.

To write an essay on the theme Food culture in English speaking countries. Discuss and compare the food culture with other countries such as Sweden, using new words and show knowledge of how using the grammar we’ve been working with. Formulera sig i skrift, använda sig av strategier, formulera sig anpassat, diskutera och jämföra
