Robinson Crusoe/Cast Away

Imagine having to live alone on an island! That is what Robinson Crusoe had to do after being shipwrecked. The class will read"Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe and watch the movie "Cast Away" as it is loosely based on "Robinson Crusoe." This plan spans over several weeks.

Week 37- 39: Introduction to the Topic and the Author. Read and listen to the book. Take notes as you read. 

Reading and Discussion of "Robinson Crusoe". Discuss critical themes to be explored, such as survival, loneliness, and human nature. 

Week 40-41: Watch the movie "Cast Away"

Week 42: Comparison Between Book and Film. Discuss similarities and differences compared to the book.

Week 42-43. Write film review.  Find further instructions on Unikum.

Week 45. Hand in your review on Friday, the 10th of November at the latest.
