Lesson assignment: mixed tape

• Make a playlist for a specific person or a specific moment  (To your best friend, songs for Christmas, songs for driving, the best night of your life…)

1.      Look at the text. What is the poem about? Wat is the tone in the text? Is there a message in the text?

2.      Look at the rhythm of the poem. Is the poem rhymed? How? Are there words that are repeated to create a rhythm?

3.      Look at the imagery and symbolism in the poem. Is there any? How is it used?

4.      Look at the structure of the poem. How is it organized? Are there parts that are repeated to create a pattern?

5.      Why do you think Charlie likes the poem?
