Is it a book or a cartoon? Or both!
This book will take you through the ordinary and extra-ordinary life of Greg Heffley in Jeff Kinney's novel Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

This is how we will take on the novel:

Week 3:

Chapter 1-14, p 1-63

First reflection:

What do you think about the book so far? 

Mention at least one thing that caught your attention.

Week 4:

Chapter 15-30, p 64-119

2nd reflection

School system Sweden vs. USA

What kind of differences between going to school in Sweden and America do you find in the novel? Give examples from the chapter you've read.

Week 5:

Chapter 31-42, 120-178

3rd reflection  

Add your own day/week to your diary. Do as Greg and just write about funny (stupid) things that have happened during a day/week, it doesn't have to be the truth.

 

Addition to today's reflection in order for you to write more. What do you prefer? Our way in Sweden, or the way they have it in America with for example (e.g.) more activities outside school?

Week 6:

Chapter 43-50, 179 --> 

4th reflection:

 

Prepare your presentation about the best film or book you have ever read/watched.    

 

 Week 7:

This week you are able to use all lessons to do your presentations.

Week 9

Presentations, Hand in all of your reflections and do your presentation.  

You must read at least 25 chapters (without using the listening aid)

We will check your reading ability by having reflections both individually and in groups. Meanwhile we will be testing our listening comprehension.

You will also give a presentation about the best book or the best film you have ever read/watched.

The best ... I have ever ...

Tell your friends about the best film you've ever seen, the best book I've ever read, song I've ever heard... Use a PowerPoint if you want to. You can also choose to record your presentation and show it through your iPad. The presentation will take place in week 46. For more information, see attached file.
