Irregular Verbs

Learn the irregular verbs.

A sound knowledge of irregular verbs is  important to be able communicate well in English. This term we will look at ten new verbs each week as well as their conjugations and the meaning of the words in Swedish.

All the verbs can be found in your Spotlight Textbook - page number 128-130. 

You will learn ten NEW words each week, but also repeat the ones you have already learnt, up to a maximum of 40 verbs and their conjugations (max 120 words). Then the process starts over again.

Verbs #1
The first week you will be tested on the first ten verbs and their conjugations - which means 30 words in total. (awake - blow)

Verbs #2
The second week you will be tested on the first 20 verbs and their conjugations - which means 60 words in total. (awake - come)

The third week you will be tested on the first 30 verbs and their conjugations - which means 90 words in total.
(awake - eat)

The fourth week you will be tested on the first 40 verbs and their conjugations - which means 120 words in total. (awake - freeze)

The next week you only have the next ten verbs and their conjugations again - which means 30 words in total. 
(get - hold)

We will finish the unit with a test to see how many irregular verbs you have learnt after the exercises we have done.

The different verbs # exercises will be corrected by your other classmates. The aim is that you and the other students get a chance to learn the words while giving each other feedback on your corrections.

The test at the end will be corrected by the teacher.
