How did people measure time before clocks were invented? Stonehenge, sundials, candle, hour glass etc. What do you think the problems might be. Discussion.

Simple activities eg guess then measure with stopwatch. How long does it take to touch your toes 10 times? Draw 10 stock men? Whose was the closest guess?

Worksheet using a.m. and p.m.

Take notes about what happened during weekend/Sportlov.

Create own diary entries of weekend/sportlov activities using a.m, pm.

Time zone: celebrating New Year around the world. How far is ..... ahead of Sweden. 

Watch simple film about what happens in different time zones around the world. 

Discuss yours and you families experiences of time zones, travelling, jet lag, phoning etc.
