The Environment, 8C

In this section we're going to become experts on environmental issues. You are going to work with text book and work book, but also search the internet and other sources for information about a certain issue that you and a couple of classmates will present and teach the rest of the class about.

Projektarbete The Environment:

Varje grupp ska bli experter på sitt område genom att leta information; på nätet, böcker, tidningar, tv eller kontakt med kunniga inom området. Detta sammanställs sedan i gruppen så att man får ett översiktligt underlag att undervisa klassen om. Till sin hjälp kan med fördel en PP göras eller någon annan form av bildspel.

Målet ska vara att prata engelska och att klasskamraterna lär sig något viktigt om ert område, då förhör kommer att hållas på innehållet efter projektets avslut.

När arbetsområdet är avslutat ska du:

• Kunna använda specifika ord och fraser om miljö och miljöproblem, skriftligt och muntligt
• Ha lärt dig om olika områden inom miljö samt visat dessa kunskaper i ett förhör
• Kunna hitta och välja relevant information samt från säkra källor
• Skriva en kort novell med miljötema

Uppgifter

All summer in a day, essay

You're going to write an essay as a "spin-off" from the text All summer in a Day (T.B p 98-101). You will take the role as someone in the story and tell the story from that person's perspective, but you cannot choose to be Margot. You can add or take away things as you like, but you need to at least mention the part where Margot is pushed into the closet. I want you to work with feelings and descriptions in order to make your reader feel something when reading the text.
