Instructions

During the rest of the semester, you are going to read and discuss a book in groups. The group is formed by the students who read the same novel.

There is some lesson time to read, but you also have to do reading on your own. Each group has two examining book talks in which you discuss your reading. Your participation and performance in these talks are basis for assessment in English 7.

 Procedure

1. Choose a novel to read, and note what group number goes with the title

2. Meet your group and decide how far you should have read before the first examining book talk. For the second examining talk you are supposed to be done with the book.

3. Read

4. During the “prep-lesson” you study the discussion questions and also make up 3-5 discussion questions of your own, that the group wished to talk about. Look at the instructions, and the knowledge requirements, for the examining book talk and prepare both individually and as a group.

5. Participate in the (mandatory) examining book talks.

6. Receive feedback on your performance.
