Podcast - Global English

You're going to record a podcast where you talk about the English language in different countries in the world.

Global English Podcast

 

You are (individually) supposed to create a podcast focusing on Global English.

 

* Choose a country or a region where English is an official language (see list below).

 

* Collect information about your country/region and answer the questions below.

 

* Create a mind-map with keywords as a help for recording your podcast.

 

* Your podcast is supposed to be around 3-5 minutes long.

 

Include the following in your podcast:

 

·      Introduction that also includes an introduction of yourself.

·      Short geographical background.

- Where in the world is your region/country located?

·      Short historical background.

- How did English spread to that part of the world?

·      How would you describe the local accent? What is different? Do they use any specific vocabulary?

·      Have you heard this accent before – where and in which context?

·      A short summary and an ending to your podcast.
