1. The Great Sugar Conspiracy?

Learning Unit 1
You are supposed to investigate the effects of sugar consumption.
Examination: Informative in Digiexam.

Objective: Your task is to write an informative text which is supposed to be handed out to a group of mothers-to-be who are confused about the consequences of sugar intake. The purpose of the text is to describe and summarize the arguments concerning sugar consumption presented by scientists, nutritionists and journalists. It is crucial that your text presents the issue in an objective and nuanced way, i.e. your personal standpoint should be left aside.  

Informative essay 

• Length: 700-1000 words 

• At least three sources (at least two from the material we have worked with)  

• Four or five paragraphs (intro – main body 1 – main body 2/3 - conclusion)  

• The text will be written in Digiexam but you are allowed to access personal notes and the texts.
