We are going to learn how to present our selves in English to a student from another country and play Mystery Skype.

Lesson 1 – Introduction, planning and aim for the project
Lesson 2 – Phrases
We will look at the phrases “My name is… I am __ years old. I like…” . We will use our teaching materials that have a section about “My family” and listen to texts and discuss words and so on.
Lesson 3 – Personal pronouns and the verb “be”
We will look at the personal pronouns, the verb “be” and words that we need to know to make the presentation.
Lesson 4 – Listening activity and “my name”
Listening activity that suits the project. Search for facts about their name and starts writing in their presentation.
Lesson 5 – family words and jobs
Words for different people in the family, for example, grandmother, sister, cousin and so on. We will also list job-words together in the class.
Lesson 6 – colours and numbers – a/an
Repeat colours and numbers so that the students can describe their house. We will also repeat the use of a or an.
Lesson 7 – hobbies and sports - verbs
We list words together in the class for sports and hobbies that the students are interested in. We look at the section about verbs and -ing form in our teaching material
Lesson 8 – The presentation
The students work on their own to finish the presentation about themselves. They practice together in pairs/small groups.
