You are going to guide a sight in the area of Domnarvet and also make an advertisement/a flyer with pictures and text.

Time

You will work with this Project week 35-39. Your guided tours will be held during w.39.

• Decide whom you are going to work with or if you want to be alone
• Decide which sight/s you want to guide
• Find information and pictures

• Start making the ad/flyer
• Start practising

• Go on practising

• Hand in your ad/flyer for correction
• Revise your ad/flyer
• Practise again, and again!

w.39 (maybe w.40): Examination 

You will:

• get to know in which order you are going to do your guiding tour
• introduce your guided tour while using your flyer
• do your guided tour
• join some of the other classmates' guided tours
• ask the other guides some questions 

Method

How to work with this:

1. Work with a friend or by yourself
2. Start by deciding what sight/s you want to guide + tell your teacher
3. Find information about your subject: from the library, the internet or other people (as much as possible)
4. Sort out and put some interesting and valid information into an advertisement/a flyer + add Pictures (add info under the Picture) and text with some facts about the guiding tour and the sight/s (add your own reflections and feelings about the sight/s)
5. Hand in the first version of your ad/flyer for correction at the latest on Tuesday w.38
6. Prepare and practise your guided tour by guiding each other, both inside and outside at your sight/s
7. Make sure you check what date you are given for your tour
8. Use strategies - to solve problems and to improve the interaction
9. Adapt your language - to the purpose and situation
10. Be prepared to ask questions while listening to your classmates guiding tours

1. This work is to be done in class, during HEL and as individual homework

Examination

Make sure:

• your working plan is well thought-out, since this will be a period where you are given much freedom
• your flyer is ready to hand out on the date for your tour. Print copies just enough for the group you are going to guide (you'll get that information from your teacher)
• you are well-prepared and have rehearsed your tour properly
• you have prepared good keywords - no phrases or sentences!

Grading

• Your writing skills will be measured as a group through your ad/flyer, the content, (facts and your own thoughts/reflections), the layout and how you present the ad/flyer in class.
• Your speaking skills will be measured on an individual basis: your choice of words and phrases, fluency, variation and pronunciation.
• We will also look at how well you adapt to the purpose and the situation.
