VLOG MINDMAP

1. Purpose
The purpose of this project is to get the students to practise their oral skill in speaking English. The task will also give the students knowledge about how to prepare a presentation and a sort of speech. They will for example be learning about how to create a manuscript or a mindmap that will work as a aid in their presentation.
2. Learning Content
The work will begin with a Tv-show called The O.C. We will watch one episode of the Tv-show together in class. After seeing the episode we begin to analyse the content of the programme and talk about the plot, characters, setting, theme and the different relationships that you can find in the Tv-show. This will give the student an idea of what the content can consist of when they are creating a vlog about a Tv-show. The assignment can be done by either taking the O.C show that we watch together and talk about that, or the student can choose another Tv-show that they have insight about.

The work during lessons will proceed by students planning and creating manuscripts or notes that will help them organise their presentation about their Tv-show. When the planning is done, it&acute;s time to record your presentation. The students can use different types of devices that thet have, for example mobile phones, ipads, computers, if someone doesn&acute;t have any device, the teacher will assist you with technical device if needed. The recording will be sent in to the teacher by using Youtube, the students will create an account and upload the video on youtube but only as a link that will be sent to the teacher, so it will only be the teacher who sees the content of the video (this will be shown during a lesson how to upload the video correctly). The video should be 5 minutes long.
3. Assesment
The assignment grading will be based on the students skill of expressing themselves in English. Does the student have a variation of words and sentences when they speak, and do they have a flow when speaking or do they have to stop and rephrase themselves? The students should use English all the time and use strategies to keep the language in English. Try to use different and more advanced words and sentences to get the higher grades in this task.&nbsp;
The project begins week 41 and should be finished and sent in to the teacher after the last lesson week 44.
