Make notes as you listen to the clip(s) about:

a summary of what the clip(s) is/are about.
your own reaction and thought about the clip(s).
what website the clip(s) is/are taken from.
why you think the website(s) is/are a trustworthy site, or not. (use the source criticism questions below)

4 Prepare to talk about the clip to a group in the class, using the notes you made in the beginning. The talk should be about 5 minutes in total.

5 Do your presentation first to a group of classmates, and give each other feedback. Use the peer response checklist below.

6 Make improvements to your presentation according to the feedback.

7Do your presentation a second time in the same group with the teacher also listening.

What information can we find in the domain address of the website?

◦Does the website have a specific purpose, for example is it commercial?

◦Is there any contact information?

◦Is the author someone who knows the topic well?

◦Considering the purpose and the author, could the information be biased? Is it opinions or facts?

◦Are there many language errors (spelling, grammar, vocabulary)?

◦Do the links in the site work properly?

◦Are there any links to other, reliable sources?
