In Science this year we will be learning more about the human body and organs, the water cycle, the phases of water, space and animals and plants life cycles. We will also be starting with technology this year where we will learn how to work on computers/iPads and how to construct own technological designs. We will work with experiments, studies, watch videos, read and write factual texts.

• Butterflies life cycle

How?

• Experiments, studies, videos, reading and writing factual texts, searching information through reliable sources, class discussions.

What will be assessed?

• Understanding of different concepts, models and theories
• Implement different and simpler scientific studies and document them
• Understand and analyse connections and contexts in nature
• Use your knowledge to review information, communicate and participate in questions to do with the topics covered in science

Assessment: 

Participation in all steps throughout the topic. We will discuss, work in books, research and do experiments. During the work areas, there will also be knowledge tests where you will have the opportunity to show what you have learned.

• Djur, växter och svampar i närmiljön, hur de kan grupperas samt namn på några vanligt förekommande arter.
• Enkla näringskedjor som beskriver samband mellan organismer i ekosystem.

Kriterier

• Eleven visar grundläggande kunskaper om natur, kropp och hälsa, kraft och rörelse samt material och ämnen. Utifrån egna upplevelser och utforskande av närmiljön beskriver eleven enkla naturvetenskapliga samband i naturen och människokroppen. Utifrån tydliga instruktioner utför eleven enkla fältstudier, observationer och experiment.
