The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian - reading project

"The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" is a semi-autobiography and an award-winning bestseller by Sherman Alexie. The book is about a Native American teenager and deals with topics such as alcoholism, poverty, violence, bullying, sexuality, death and much more. It's humorous and sad, but also insightful and easy to relate to. It brings laughter as well as tears. Enjoy!

You will for the rest of this semester, and also a few weeks in the beginning of the spring semester, read the book "The absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian" by Sherman Alexie. In this project you will both listen to the book being read in class, answer questions in a reading log and read the book yourself online. Together with your classmates you will also discuss topics from the book in groups.

Make sure you put work into your reading log because it will help you in the final exam - a written assignment about the novel.
