Exchange Program

You're invited to an exchange program where you will "travel" to an English speaking country.

This project is divided into four parts. Each one of them will be finished before you go on to the next one.

Part 1: The invitiation and application (writing)

You get the invitation to participate in the program. Your task is to write an application. This text will be written as a formal letter. You need to decide what you want to do in the program and where you want to go.

Part 2: The planning and the itinerary (writing, speaking)

In this part you get the news that you're accepted to the program. Your task is to plan for the trip: buy tickets, pack your bags and equipment, contact your host family and make a short presentation of your home town.

Part 3: The hobby  (writing)

You task is now to read a factual text about your hobby. You'll work with new words and then write your own factual text.

Part 4: Coming home (speaking)

When you get back to Sweden after three imaginary weeks abroad, you'll meet up with other participants and talk about your experiences.

You will have homework when you work with part 2 and 3 - words from your own wordlist.

All parts will be handed in and uploaded on Unikum (uppgifter)

Here you hand in two things: - document with packing list and two emails - video with your presentation.

Part 3 - Factual text

Write a factual text about your hobby.

Part 4 - Welcome home

A video with your group discussion. (Ni som inte lämnar in filmen, trycker på lämna in och skriver sen i kommentarsfältet vem som lämnat in filmen i er grupp.) Talk about: - what you've done during your stay (and of course where you've been) - describe one positive/fun situation and one negative - your host family - what you've learnt during your stay and what skills you have improved och developed.
