Music we like!

In the first chapter of Champion 6 we can read about rock music. It would be very interesting to hear what kind of music you like! You´re going to do write about and do an oral presentation in front of the class about a band/artist you like. You can choose how you want to do your presentation, for example pictures, posters or a power point. It you want to you can play the song on spotify or youtube.

Choose a band/artist and a song

Choose a band or an artist with songs in English. Then choose a song preformed by the band/artist with lyrics in English. Write a comment here in Unikum so I know what artist you have chosen.

Write a text about a band/artist.

Collect facts about the band/artist from the internet or other resources. Write your own text with interesting information about your band/artist. Here are some things you can write about: •History (country, background and family etc.) •Genre (Hip hop, soul, rock, country music). •Members •Famous songs •Why do you think this band/artist is successful? •Why did you choose this band/artist?

Write a text about a song

Choose a song in English that you like and that is written by your band/artist. Look up the text, read it and translate (use a dictionary). Here are some things you can write about: •what the song is about •who it is written by •when it was released •why you like the song •other interesting facts

The presentation

Prepare your presentation! Make notecards with the facts you have written. You can use whole scentenses or a mind map. Use some kind of illustration for your presentation like a picture, a poster or a powerpoint. Please play a bit of your song on Spotify or Youtube. Practise your presentation in front of a friend and give each other feedback. Good luck!
