Life on Scilly

"Life on Scilly" is a series of six programmes dealing with the lives of some teenagers living on the small group of islands called "the Scilly Islands".

EPISODE 1 - One week's work

Watch the programme - take notes while you listen! Then work in pairs and describe Tom, Jess, Harry and Amy. Also talk about the questions under the headline "Discuss in class". If you finish early, ask your teacher for more questions to discuss.

Now, write (individually): Write an essay about friendship! Use these questions, but feel free to add on more:

• How would you describe friendship?
• What do the teenagers in the programme say about friendship?
• Does it matter how many - or how few - friends you have?
