Create a book about our school.

Lesson One

Inform the pupils that we are going to make a book about our school. 

Brainstorm what should be in the book. (Our classroom, music room, picture of the school, the outdoor play area etc)

Go around with the pupils and take pictures of the areas we planned.

Lesson Two - Four

As a group we discussed what we should write for each picture. When we agreed on the text, I wrote the sentences on the board, while the students wrote in their notebooks. When we needed other information (like how many pupils go to this school?), we discussed who might know this information and went and asked. Each student also had their own page, with their picture, here students were required to write independently. 

The published book will be handed out to each participating student.
