Vallhamra School Restaurant 2.0

As you know by now, the school restaurant has been forced to close due to unknown circumstances. The ones responsible for this unfortunate situation obviously feel really bad about it and have decided to be quite generous in their compensation.

This means that for the next couple of weeks a menu will be decided at the school. This menu will be ordered from the finest catering businesses in Gothenburg and then delivered to Vallhamra at lunch time. Lunch will be served in the assembly hall which will be turned into a temporary yet luxurious dining environment.

 

Now, what the menu will look like is to be decided by vote in a competition between the students in 7a. 7a, who are known for their developed and sensitive palate.

We are well funded and that means that you can let your imagination run freely. To make sure that your menu will stand out and be selected you need to give it your best. So, get going and during the next couple of lessons, follow these instructions:

 

• Come up with a name for the new restaurant.

• Come up with a theme which will make your restaurant special. 

• Write a one week’s menu. It should cover Monday to Friday and it has to include a first course, a main course and a dessert.

• Write down 15 useful words about food and cooking. Decide together which words should be included. These must be handed in during your presentation.

 

Find a template and create a beautiful menu. Be ready to present it during next week*.

Don’t forget to include your dictionary.

 

Unfortunately there will be some distractions from your work, but do not fret because it will make you better at listening- and reading comprehension. Too good to be true? I think not!
