In this section, we will study:
-The definition of media
-Different types of media
-The influence of the media
-The Power of advertising
-Famous newspapers, magazines and different types of T.V programs and T.V shows.

Wings 8 Section 1- The Media

Syfte - förmågor från kursplanen:

Undervisning - detta kommer vi att arbeta med:

 Gemensamt i klassen kommer vi att lyssna på texter, läsa texter, göra hörövningar och diskutera olika teman inom ämnesområdet

I grammatiken går vi igenom och tränar på följande moment:
- pågågende och enkel form i presens.
- Komparation av adjektiv
- Preposition + ingform

 Ni kommer också att få läsa autentiska nyhetsartiklar och titta på engelsktalande nyhetsinslag för att träna er förmåga att förstå engelska i både tal och skrift. Vissa gör vi gemensamt men ni kommer också att få välja själva och söka på internet.

Vi kommer också att ha utrymme på att välja texter och uppgifter i workboken. I workbook kan du träna ytterligare på de olika förmågorna och uppgifterna är uppdelade enligt följande: words and phrases, reading, speaking, writing, listening.

Bedömning:I arbetsområdet bedöms på vilket sätt du:

• visar förståelse av de texter ni läser och de hörövningar vi gör
• skriver texter
• deltar muntligt i diskussioner och frågor kring olika texter och nyhetsartiklar

Arbetsområdet avslutas med ett skriftligt prov där följande delar kommer att ingå:
Läsförståelse, hörförståelse, ordkunskap, grammatik och en skrivuppgift.

Oral Presentation: Check interent for a news article to present orally in class. https://www.thelocal.se/ (for example) You are going to choose a news article from the Internet. Read it, write down the wotds you don't understand in your notebook. Find out what the words mean and write the translations in your notebooks. 3. Writing: Write about the media influences us. Write Three paragraphs of how the media influences us/you/society. We will discuss in class how the media influences us. Try to take part in the discussion that will eventually help you with your Writing.
