A new school year, new challenges and new opportunities to develop your skills! Isn’t that lovely?

We are going to take a deeper look at how we develop our abilities. What is intelligence? How does the brain work? How can we help ourselves and others to get even better? Is effort the key to success? All these questions and more is what we are going to focus on.

What abilities we are going to work with:

• Your ability to understand different kinds of spoken language.
• Your ability to understand different kinds of texts, especially a bit more scientific language and argumentative texts
• Your ability to write an explanatory (förklarande) and argumentative (övertalande) text.
• Your ability to express ideas orally (and understand others')

What we are going to do:

• Watch clips on the subject, discuss the content and learn new vocabulary.
• Read texts on the subject, discuss the content and learn new vocabulary.
• discuss the purpose, structure and language of argumentative texts.

 What will be assessed?

• A final discussion in groups where we discuss the subject. You will receive the questions beforehand. Have you understood the concept of mindsets?
