Metamorphoses

People go through changes. These metamorphoses - or transformations - are a recurrent theme in literature and on the screen. To us they will be a stepping stone to developing our reading skills.

The following weeks  our work will be divided into two sections: the first one focuses on man’s transformation into a superhero, and the other one on gender. Check "Teams" in order to see what will take place in each lesson. Any additional material will be found at Teams, in the file called "Metamorphoses".

We will mainly focus on different text types: an article, an extract from a play as well as a short story. There will be individual work involved such as translation of texts and word work, but also a creative challenge in small groups. Plenty of clips from films will inspire us. There is no examination to be done, but you will perform an informal presentation in groups and also, individually, write an essay on metamorphoses. There will be peer assessment and feedback from your teacher.

·        Texter av olika slag och med olika syften, t.ex. populärvetenskapliga texter.

Produktion och interaktion

·        Muntlig och skriftlig produktion och interaktion i olika situationer och med olika syften, där eleverna argumenterar, resonerar, sammanfattar, kommenterar, och motiverar sina åsikter.
