Writing Assignment - The School of My Dreams

In this writing assignment you are supposed to imagine the school of your dreams and compare it to the school that you attend right now. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in writing through feedback during your writing process.

 

You are going to write an essay in which you are supposed to describe the school of your dreams as well as your current school and your opinion about it:

 

• What do you like about your school? Is there anything that could be improved?

• Compare your school with the school of your dreams. Is your school comparable with the school of your dreams? If yes explaine why. If not, what could make it the school of your dreams?

 

The writing process that you should follow in this task is:

 

1. Make a Mind Map that will help you to sort the content of your essay. What is important to include? What is not relevant?

 

2. Write your essay. Remember to divide your text into paragraphs. It will help you during your writing process and it will make it easier for the reader to follow your thoughts and ideas.

 

3. Before you hand in the first draft of your essay check spelling and grammar.

 

4. Hand in your essay. I will give you feedback on your writing and after that you are supposed to rewrite it and hand in your final draft.

 

You are supposed to write between 200 and 500 words. Hand in a first draft of your essay at the latest Friday week 39. You are supposed to hand in your final draft at the latest Friday week 41.
