If you take a look around you, you will see how at least two persons are listening to music right now. They will either have a headphone piece next to their ear, or they will be humming a song. Music and songs are everywhere in today’s society! It seems like we cannot live without it! I am currently listening to music when I am writing this! You could argue that music is a magical thing, it can make us happy, sad, angry, laugh or even cry! Further, music can make us focus where we could not before! It all depends on the song!

Having this in mind, I thought that we would start up a new project! A project that we will work with for the coming weeks. The project will be divided into three different parts. Each part will have a week, that is, three lessons, where the deadline will be each Friday! The three parts will be the following:

- Facts and discussion about your artist/band

- A translation of a song

- An analysis of a song and your interpretation of it

For each part, I will give you a list of things I want you to include; questions that you need to answer; structure that you will need to follow. You will be writing everything through SharePoint and hand it in through Unikum. At the beginning of each lesson, I will have a short lecture about a grammatical rule or something similar.

During the first week, and perhaps the second one as well, you all have to be inside the classroom. This is mainly because it seems like some of you cannot take the responsibility to work outside the classroom. Therefore, we will start with everyone inside the classroom, and we will see how well you are working. After a while, I might let some of you sit outside the classroom.

However, now, I want you to take five minutes to figure out which artist or band is your favorite! After you have chosen, I want you to start to find facts, and also think about why you have chosen to write about that artist/band!
