What inventions has made the world a better place? Do you have a brilliant idea about an invention that you think will make it easier for everybody?

Make the world a better place

Unit-3 Inventions in English 9 - Gleerups. 

Come up with an invention of your own. You will design your invention and explain why you plan to invent it. You also need to think about how and where to market it.

Use Google presentation for your presentation and/or Google document to document your ideas and other information.

Finally, you will also discuss and talk about pros and cons of your inventions with a group of your peers.

How to get started:

1. Brainstorm ideas. Make a list of all the things that interest you.

2. Decide on an idea and document it (what makes it special, what is the purpose of your invention, how and where would you market it, etc).

3. Draw a picture of how your invention will look like.

4. Time for presentation: present your invention to a group of peers and have a discussion on pros and cons.

My invention

Describe Your idea about an invention that you think that you, your family, your friends need. What is the invention?. What do you need it for? How are you using the invention? Who do you think would use your invention? (adults, children, men, women- all people)- Target group? How much do you think it will cost? OR Find a useless or silly invention and present it in the same way as if you invented something on your own. The presentation should focus on to “sell” the invention/product to investors (which are your classmates). Make a presentation with pictures and descriptions.

develop YOUR idea (that is an invention that will make the world a better place) - make a presentation where you describe your invention, use arguments to convince your audience that your idea is brilliant. alternatively: choose an invention that is already invented, learn more about the inventor and the invention, find arguments that show that their idea is brilliant.
