Fairytales

Fairytales were written to teach the young ones about life, educate and warn them about dangers. However, dangers change, our needs do too so how can tales still be relevant today? This difficult questions is one of the key issues that we are going to work with. How and why are going to be two questions that follow us throughout our journey when working with fairytales.

Purpose:

We never stop learning and we never stop growing. Having said this, how can we learn and grow? This is the main focus here, we are going to grow and learn through the eyes of fairytales which have served as sources for growth and knowledge throughout many years. We are going to learn more about how we tell stories (verbal, written, visual), why we tell them and ultimately in what way we can adapt them to today's society so that they can live on and continue educating and making people growth in their own way.

Material:

To start of the journey we are going to focus on Alice in Wonderland, fables and other famous stories. The tales will be told through reading, through the verbal language but also through motion picture to accommodate all of our four abilities ; verbal, listen, read and write. 

Method:

• Motion picture
• Introduction and presentation(text, images)
• Reading 
• Discussions
• Production of our own tales
• Studie techniques to support the above mentioned ways.

Criteria (kunskapskrav):

All of the criteria will be assessed because all four abilities will be used frequently.
