Watch a movie or an episode of your favourite TV-series. 
Look for product placements.

Start your letter with: "Dear Aggie, ..."

Describe the problem as clearly as possible with examples and what the writer needs help with.

Remember to end with:
Best regards, Best wishes, Yours, Love or Bye and a signature (It could be a name or something that describes the feelings of the writer, like "Sad and lonely")


Agony Aunt - Write a letter to Agony Aunt.

Project Work: Write an article, an essay, a review or a story.

Work with two or three partners. Make a news broadcast. Decide on what new you will present: international news, national news, a weather report, sports and so on. 
Write a script and practise it at least a couple of times. 
Act it out in front of your class or make a video to show your classmates and your teacher.

The media is all around us. Constantly. Wherever we turn, we see pictures, read news and other types of information, as well as watch videos, TV shows and films. Is this a good thing? Are we affected by it? It is important to reflect on these things in order to be able to be critical and not automatically fall for everything that you see or read, whether it is filtered/photoshopped pictures, ideas and preconceptions about people in society, news etc.
During this unit we will read texts in Wings Red, articles in British and American newspapers and magazines, watch videos/commercials, write a bit and, of course, discuss. We will also watch news programmes, like BBC one-minute world news.&nbsp;

It's in the paper, p. 16-17. We read articles in British and American newspapers, for example, The Guardian, The Times, USA Today, The Sun or The Daily Mirror. We talk about the differences between quality papers and the&nbsp;tabloids. Tell your&nbsp;classmates about the article you read.
Famous magazines, p. 18-19. We read articles in famous American and British&nbsp;magazines, for example: National Geographic, Time Magazine, Newsweek, PC Gamer and Seventeen. Prepare to tell your&nbsp;classmates about one of the articles you read.&nbsp;
Agony Aunt, p. 20-21. Read and discuss teen problems. Write about a problem and answer another student's problem.&nbsp;
We will finish this section with a project work where you will choose what you want to do and how you want to show what you have learned.&nbsp;
