Luxury Trap - Talk Show

You are going create a talkshow. Together you have to decide which type of show you want and then plan, write and rehearse it. The English lessons will be at your disposal. You will present your ten-minute show live in class.

When preparing, cover the following aspects. (Make sure you stick to English at all times!)

 

Type of show?                 (Entertaining? Serious? Educational?)

Target group?                 (Grown-ups? Adolescents? Pupils?)

Talk show host?              (Expert? Reporter? Celebrity?)

Guests?                           (Your case family or only a member of it? Financial advisors?)

Conversation?                 (One at the time or all guests together in discussion?)    

Script? (What questions do you want to answer?)

 

1. Remember that “Practice makes perfect”. Make sure you rehearse your show several times. The audience don’t want people reading from a paper. However, the host of the show can have cue cards with questions to his or her guests.
2. Create a wordlist for your classmates, which economy words and legal terms would they need.
