What do you know about the big country in the west? Perhaps have you been there or perhaps you are dreaming about going there someday? Anyway, after been working with this theme you will know more about the USA as a country and the people living there. Enjoy!

Purpose:
You will get the opportunities to develop your ability to:
* understand and interpret the content of spoken English and in different types of texts,
* express yourself and communicate in speech and writing,
* use language strategies to understand and make yourselves understood,
* adapt language for different purposes, recipients and contexts

 

Goals:

• To revise your text. Bearbeta och förbättra

• To be sure how to use: pågående form, preposition-+ ingform, demonstrativa pronomen, komparation av adjektiv:  Uttrycka sig i skrift, formulera sig skriftligt

 

Core content/method:

 

This theme will be about reading and listening to texts. You will work from your Wings 8 books, and as a final step you will have a test.

 

In your Wings 8 Textbook (Chapter The USA, page 121):

• Listen at least two of the texts in your textbook.

• Read at least two of the texts (not the ones you listened to)

• Pick out twenty words to learn from, practise them using glosor.eu

• Summarize two of the texts in a Google Doc.

In your Wings 8 Workbook (Chapter The USA, page 132):

• Choose and work with two exercises from word/phrases.

• Choose and work with two exercises from reading.

• Choose and work with one exercise from speaking.
