You are expected to read a novel and prepare for a Writing assignment on the topic of Child-raising.
You are expected to read Roald Dahl's much loved novel about a number of horrible Children and of course the "hero" of the story - Charlie Bucket himself. Also you will be expected to brush up your grammar skills each week. Some of this work needs to be done at home, since there may not be time for it all during our two lessons per week. Questions to be discussed and answered in pairs or in groups will be posted weekly to facilitate a clear understanding of the story; its characters and their relations as well as personal traits. Prepare to make up your mind aabout what you think about Child-raising and why Dahl chose these examples of spoiled kids. Eventually you will be given an assignment to write an essay about what you have read and argue with your own opinions. More about that later on...
