English Around the World
Part 1
Create a Brief presentation of your country
Create a short Google Presentation about your country in Classroom. Give some facts, and use photos to help explain your points. Use one slide for each point. You will be working in pairs; see the list in Classroom.
Part 2
Add your answers to these questions to your Google presentation. Here you can write more text (with photos as well).
politicians, sportsmen, actors etc.
Part 3
Inform the world!
The aim of this exercise is to broaden your knowledge of some countries where English is widely spoken.
Sit with your partners who have worked on the same country as you. With the help of the questions in Part B, ask and answer questions with the other pair sitting opposite. You will be sitting in two circles as we do sometimes. After ten minutes or so, you will move on to talk to another group. You can use your computers.
Now we have another scenario.
You will talk to a person who has worked on another country. You will be in pairs.
You are travellers from your respective countries who meet at a youth hostel in Sweden. You are sitting at a table and start talking. Ask and answer each other’s questions. Take on your new role. Try to relax and let the conversation flow. Here are some questions that might be helpful. First, practise with your computer.
politicians, sportsmen, actors etc.
-invite the others to visit you in your country
Now, take some notes (20 -30 words) on a sheet of paper and use them to help you act out the scenario - no computer.
Record your discussion with Screencastify. Post the link in Classroom.
That’s it. Hope it goes well!
